Meet Dr. Kristy Center
I am passionate about supporting my clients in re-centering to connect with the most authentic version of themselves.
I have 15 years of experience in working with individual adults who are experiencing distress due to PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, grief and loss, adjustment disorders, major life transitions, post-military readjustment, chronic illness, and moral injury.
I have specialized experience working with combat veterans and victims of sexual assault/interpersonal violence. I also have a significant interest in helping people integrate major experiences (including psychedelic ones) into their lives.
I am dedicated to education and strive to train in the most effective treatments that are backed by scientific rigor. My therapeutic style pulls from Eastern contemplative practices and Western neuroscience with a dash of Southern hospitality.
On a personal note:
I absolutely love being outside and I love learning. While I am a total beach bum (a little out of place in Colorado), I also am enamored with our majestic mountains and sweeping views. On my time off you can typically find me lounging in one of Denver’s lovely parks with a book, hiking or snowboarding in the mountains, practicing yoga, or studying Spanish. I am also a complete coffee snob and adore several of the local shops. Lately, I have discovered the joys of cold river plunging! Finally, I am passionate about learning about people and culture (and food!) through world travel.
